UK Lawyers for Israel is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Operations Manager.
Richard is a qualified solicitor with a Law degree from Leeds University. He did a Masters in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS and then a diploma at the London School of Journalism before setting up a blog in order to cover anti-Israel events across university campuses, charities, a range of NGOs and in Parliament. His blog has helped to document the rise in antisemitic discourse that has been seen in the last 10 years or so. His hobbies include playing and watching cricket, supporting Leeds United and appreciating irony.”
Richard commented “I am delighted to work for UKLFI, an organisation that is hugely important in combating the anti-Israel and antisemitic narrative that has taken hold in certain sectors of British society. I hope to help contribute to the support that Jewish students and the Jewish community as a whole might need at certain times as well as challenging boycotts against Israel and Israelis and stopping funding to terror organisations.”
Jonathan Turner, Chief executive of UKLFI, said “I am delighted that Richard has joined our team to help continue our work in defending Israel and Israelis against the illegal conduct of a wide range of organisations. Richard understands the challenges ahead and has a proven record in the fight against antisemitism and anti-Israel activities.”
