UKLFI are proud to announce that Paul Charney, one of its directors, has received an Honorary Fellowship from the Technion, Haifa, in recognition of “his loyal and devoted service to the state of Israel and to the Technion in his capacity as the Chairman of Technion UK and in gratitude for his philanthropic leadership in his various other Israel centric roles in the UK”.

Paul was born in South Africa and moved to Israel in 1986. In 1996 Paul chose to study law in the UK at the University of Leeds and qualified as a solicitor in 2002. He left his legal career in 2004 to establish a successful strategic land and planning promotion company.
He was Chair of the Zionist Federation of UK and Ireland from 2012 – 2021 and Chair of Mill Hill Synagogue. He established and was the first Chair of ELNET UK. He currently chairs Technion UK and the UK Jewish Film Festival.
