Adverts for T-shirts with the slogan “We are all Palestine Action” are being removed by Amazon after complaints that it is illegal to sell such items after the proscription of Palestine Action on 5 July 2025.

UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) was informed about several pages on Amazon where the Palestine Action shirts were still being sold, although many more had already been removed.

UKLFI has written to Amazon pointing out that Amazon was likely to have secondary liability for encouraging or assisting criminal offences committed by their customers wearing the shirts. Under section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000 it is a criminal to wear an item of clothing in a public place in such a way or in such circumstances as to arouse reasonable suspicion that he is a member or supporter of a proscribed terrorist organisation. Selling the t shirts assists and encourages people to wear them, and to commit offences under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act.

An Amazon spokesperson said:  “We require all products sold by independent third party sellers in our store to comply with all applicable laws. We are removing the products in question.”

UKLFI commented; “We have been assured that the Palestine Action merchandise will soon be removed from Amazon.  We have provided them with details of around eight live sites, including several selling these t shirts for children as young as 3.  We are happy that Amazon is acting in a responsible way.”
